How long will a Verizon Wireless cellphone work after going through a washing machine cycle accidentally?
My son in college called me last night with an interesting little story. He’d left his new cellphone in his shirt pocket and his fiance inadvertantly didn’t notice–hence a very clean phone which didn’t work at first. When the battery was replaced, the phone started working. Does anyone know if the internal workings are waterproof or what the current life expectancy of it is now? It is an LG VX5200
he was just lucky that the water didnt have the chance to go in deeper where the microchips are lol. the washing machine moves the water around .the water got the battery because its right under the battery cover. and the battery blocks the holes where the water can go inside the phone. ur son is one lucky person and i wish him luck in college.
