tom tom 510 usb connection problems?
Has anyone had problems with the USB dock not connecting properly?
I got a tomtom 510 as an Xmas present and I’ve found that the USB dock is a bit choosy about when it will work or not (sometimes works as USB, sometimes just pops up with map). The charging light only comes on if you fiddle the TT up and down a bit. As a result of this temperamental connection it didn’t backup and update properly with the new software and often freezes on the startup screen. It also thinks it’s a tom tom one too! (again due to the dodgy restore)
Yes, similar issue – not with a 510 though. Didn’t hang around, called for a replacement straight away seeing it was still under warranty (as is yours!). I’d recommend you do the same.
