Audio Bug

Wiring new things to a car such as audio/video?
i have 3 new speakers i wanna put in, in my trunk but one question always bugs me and confuses me. i saw a video of an amp setup and they hooked it up to the battery. i kno everything cant be hooked up to the battery so where would i run the wires to? the alternator? i tried looking for a website tht would explain where things get hooked up to in the front of the vehicle but no success. i see the custom car shows with their audio but they never tell you where the video power and audio power cords get hooked up to. once again it is very appreciated and a big savings in money if someone could give me the answer.
If you are hooking up a screen or dvd player then you will have to run a set of RCA cables from it to the deck so you can get the input into the speakers. you’ll also run the power to behind the deck also. There are two power cables behind the deck (yellow and red) that are also needed for the screen to work. Take the wires you ran from the screen and put them in with the other yellow and red wires behind the deck. That takes care of power. You also have to run a ground (black) wire to somewhere metal on your car. There you have it! As for the speakers, you need to run speaker wire from the place you are mounting them up to behind the deck as well. Since they will be in the rear I would connect them to the purple pair or green pair of wires because those lead to your pre-installed rears. Since you’ll be adding more speakers it would be a good idea to get an amp to power them. it will make your speakers sound tons better
